Spider was appointed by Tyrrells in 2011 when the business was valued at £30m. The brief included consumer, corporate, international and social media with the challenge to build on its brand awareness, nurture its artisinal roots and launch NPD. Six years on and the Agency is still working with Tyrrells having partnered it through three changes of ownership and with a business now valued at £300m.
The corporate activity throughout this period has been driven by a need to build positive perceptions of the business as a brand with strong, local provenance coupled with the global ambition and the ability to deliver. Spider’s work has helped achieve two highly successful sale processes and the acquisition of several connected international snacking businesses. This activity included building the profile of the CEO who is now widely recognised as an entrepreneurial business person representing the very best of UK SMEs.
