Lixir Drinks appoints Spider ahead of rebrand

Tonic water and mixer brand appoints Spider for trade and influencer brief ahead of rebrand

This month, Spider PR has won a brief to amplify the rebrand of Lixir Drinks as it enters the next milestone of its journey. The brief spans both trade PR to announce the rebrand, as well as influencer marketing to raise awareness amongst consumers.

Lixir Drinks was launched in 2018 by bartending duo Matt Mahatme and Jordan Palmer. The range of all-natural, low-calorie and low-sugar tonics and mixers is stocked in a growing number of bars and restaurants in the UK and is the house mixer in Selfridges bars. The company also sells to 13 countries.

The brand is now introducing a fresh, new label design to appeal to a younger audience and align with other brand touchpoints outside of packaging (such as its social platforms and website). This comes shortly after Lixir announced the appointment of Chris Ellis, former commercial director at Pernod Ricard as new non-executive director; reflecting the brand’s dedication to growth.

Spider PR will announce details of the rebrand to trade press, before seeding the newly designed bottles to relevant influencers to raise the profiles of both the brand and the products amongst consumers.

Sara Pearson, CEO at Spider says, ‘This summer has seen a host of new appointments to our growing consumer PR and digital divisions, and it’s great to bring an exciting drinks brand such as Lixir on board. Despite the obstacles faced by the drinks industry due to Covid, Lixir has landed a flurry of new on-trade listings and is continuing to strengthen its board; we now look forward to working in partnership with them as they enter the next stage in their brand journey .’
