Spider learning how to #PlateLikeAPro with Professional Chefs in Dubai using the finest Irish ingredients

Spider is delighted to announce that their Social Media & Digital team has gained an additional brief from the Irish Food Board, Bord Bia, in the UAE to help support the food service industry during lock down.

The agency had already been working with Bord Bia to raise brand awareness, support listings and increase sale for several Irish brands including Glenisk, Flahavans and Kerrygold.

The team are now incredibly excited to be working with professional chefs from a handful of the most premium restaurants and kitchens in Dubai to promote the use of John Stone Beef, Kerrygold Butter and Blenders Sauces.

It is difficult to find an industry around the world that has not been affected by the outbreak, and food service has been hit especially hard. Most countries have introduced lockdown measures in one way or another that have led to the temporary closures of restaurants.

Now that more people cooking at home, we have launched the #PlateLikeAPro campaign.

Each week, we brief a different Professional Chef to go live on to their Instagram channels to host a cook along demonstration of their signature dish. In each video, chefs are teaching viewers how to #PlateLikeAPro whilst giving viewers the chance to win a voucher to their restaurants through a social media competition.

The videos are supported with targeted advertising to ensure the chefs reach existing and new customers around the UAE, ensuring they stay top of mind once lockdown is lifted.

Just a few weeks into the campaign, we have already enjoyed some fantastic results; reaching over half a million foodies in the Middle East and generating tens of thousands of views on existing videos – a fantastic result for the chefs and brands involved.
