The Spider Team have been fully submerged in the world of travel this month following three new briefs from lastminute.com.

Having looked after the company’s consumer PR for the past 18 months, the Online Travel Agent (OTA), which encourages everyone to ‘do whatever makes you pink,’ sought Spider’s help to produce 24 destination-focused articles, and execute two influencer/content creation projects.

The first influencer project supports their Dynamic Package product, which gives customers greater flexibility and better rates when booking a hotel and flight at the same time. Working with three influencers, each with different passion points, Spider will be executing a multi-trip project that highlights the benefits of hotel and flight packages. The overall aim is to change perceptions of ‘packages’ and promotes an exciting array of destinations.

The second influencer project will see Spider work with content creators with a passion for food. Exploring four areas of a destination to find the best local dishes and eating spots, the influencers will be promoting their experiences across their social channels and providing a variety of content for a new ‘Food Makes You Travel’ section of the lastminute.com website.

Meanwhile, the Spider copywriting team has been busy researching and writing about things to do and see across a variety of European cities, from Amsterdam and Madrid to Milan and Venice. The articles, which aim to provide inspiration and travel tips, are also being translated to support lastminute.com’s other language sites.

Alessia Dordoni, Content and Communication Director at lastminute.com said: “We’re delighted our in-house content specialists are working with Spider on a variety of projects as we look to expand our content-rich offering both on our own channels and working with influencers on theirs. We have some great travel stories to tell as a brand and by focusing on key destinations and products we aim to excite and inspire travellers, offering our expertise and competence from more than 20 years”
